Teenger Credits Seatbelt for Saving His Life

At least one young man heeded the seatbelt warning and feels that deed alone saved his life. Reportedly the 18 year-old from the Panhandle of Florida was driving across the Pensacola Bay on Three Mile Bridge Monday. A gust of wind thought to be 30 to 35 miles per hour hit his SUV as he changed to the outside lane.

The young man said "The whole drive the car was shaking because the winds were really high. I had switched my car into the right lane and the wind kind of shuffled my back tires into the wall. So I just turned my wheel and I rolled. When I rolled my car, it hit the outside rail, and the tires went over and I slid about twenty yards down."

The teenager said he ended up with a bruise from the seatbelt, but figures without it he would have certainly died from the accident.
