We all know peanut butter & jelly sandwiches are a staple for our kids. The recent recall of Peter Pan & Great Value peanut butter is especially worrisome for parents and children. Children are at an increased risk of serious illness due to this foodborne illness. Recent experience with e coli and hamburgers and spinach have demonstrated how deadly foodborne illness are to children. Beware of the following symptoms which can mask salmonella poisoning: fever, vomiting, dehydration, and diarrhea. It's a scary day when an ordinary peanut butter & jelly sandwich poses such a risk for our children.
