In yet another study of the medical malpractice problem in the United States a recent study revealed that almost half of physicians in the United States

admitted they knew of a serious medical error that had been made but did not tell authorities about it.
The report stated that most of the physicians knew that they should report the problem but did not. Imagine if half all pilots refused to report errors in the operation of our nation's airliners. Perhaps there should be a system of confidential reporting of medical errors as there must be tremendous peer pressure among the physicians to keep quiet even when it endangers the health and lives of the public.
