A study cited in the University of Florida's latest Neuropsychology Clinical Update shows that recreational club drugs, like ecstasy and methamphetamines, have the similar effects on the brain as a traumatic brain injury does.  The study examined the brain cells in rats who were given these drugs, and researchers found that the drugs do not necessarily wear off- they may cause cell lose and changes in the brain that are irreversible.  This evidence should give warning to all those who think that a "night of fun" can have no consequences later on in life, any actions can and will affect you for the rest of your life.
