Three New Importers Issue Recalls for Lead Paint

Marvel Toys of New York, Dolgencorp Inc. and Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. have each issued recalls of childrens products made in China. Marvel Toys is recalling approximately 175,000 Curious George Plush Dolls because of lead paint on the face. Approximately 51,000 yellow sunglasses for children with the words "Time to Play" printed on them and imported by Dolbencorp Inc of Tenn.have been recalled for the paint on the surface of the frame. And finally, Halloween baskets imported by Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. have been recalled due to lead in the paint on the decorations attached to the basket. In each case, the level of lead in the paint exceeds the federal safety standard for children's toys which can be harmful to children if swallowed.

Better yet, they can sign up for automated notifcation of recalls via email to stay on top of the rash of Chinese manufactured toys with lead paint being recalled.
